Easter 2009 ~

Wow! The Easter Bunny has come and gone! Another Easter season over; hard to believe! Pretty soon, my Christmas tree will be back up and decorated and Christmas 2009 will be here -- seems like next week!!

Easter Sunday was very relaxing ~ We had a great meal (ham, scalloped potatoes, home-made sweet potato casserole, steamed broccoli/cauliflower, corn, and dinner rolls. YUMMY~ Then my dear hubby made an incredible apple cobbler that was SMOKIN' !! It was delish! I must say -- he outdid himself and made his very best cobbler ever. Yeppers, my big country hubby likes to make desserts; but do not tell him I told ya! He will deny deny deny and then deny it. He is big, strappin' and works outdoors -- not in my kitchen for crying out loud~ (tee hee, it will be OUR secret).

Spring break here in VA ~ Kids are happy to be out of school; I will start my new job this week - three days with part time hours. Could there be anything better than being home most of the time and working part of the time?? Nope, I don't think there is; unless I hit the $92 million mega millions -- then I will say THAT was better!

I miss my newest nephew -- this was his first Easter; in fact, yesterday he was ONE month old! Wow, one month old already -- and still he has the smallest little head -- like the size of an orange; but don't let that fool ya! He has the death grip of a HUGE guy! Yeppers, when he took hold of my finger in his little fist; he cut off all circulation with his grip!~ Looks are deceiving for sure - little man is STRONG!!!! Now if I can only convince my baby sister to send me him and let me keep him; all would be right with the world ~ (Can't a girl wish and dream?).

So, last Saturday we had a craft/yard sale at one of my scrapbook stops; I did more BUYING than selling -- of course that is ALWAYS the case; but I did get stuff on sale! THAT IS SUPER IMPORTANT! To always be able to smile sweetly and say "But it was such a steal !" That is what I tell myself anyways................................

Weekend before last, CJ and me hopped on the bike and took a 2 hour ride to NC; it was nice! I must admit I am liking this new "biker chick" side of myself. I am loving my new leather jacket and my boots to match; all I need know are either leather pants or chaps, whichever one I get first. I feel invincible! Also, I might need to head back to the bike shop in the city of Luray and buy that leopard print helmet I saw there last summer - YESSIRREE!~ I knew someone had to make one with LEOPARD PRINT! Of course! Duh, if it is made in leopard print, I WILL find it. So, I do need that to finish my ENSEMB...............................styling & profiling fer sure! ha ha ha~ I crack myself up.

Saw the pics of my niece and nephew for their Easter day - too cute! Rachel was adorable searching for eggs and Jake is always a little doll - he smiles all the time! They are getting so big -- makes me miss them even more! And now little Nick is ONE~ Yeppers! He is the big NUMERO UNO! Wow, that was one fast year ~ Babies grow too fast, that is all I can say about that..............

K, better go and get something accomplished today -- laundry is calling my name!
